The outdoor fire pit is made of strong sheet steel. It is designed to keep the contact area with the ground at a minimum in order to maximize the venting. The fire pit itself is has a sufficient depth to ensure that the fire is protected against any wind and thus to prevent any glowing pieces of wood from being fired out of the pit and being scattered around it. The fire pit is closed unit without any openings to drain rain water which would allow hot ash to fall through and onto the ground that is underneath the fire pit. At the same time, the design allows for a good visibility of the flames and retention of the atmosphere that comes with an outdoor fireplace.
The fireplace comes with two cut-outs in the upper section which allow for easy carrying. The cut-outs in the lower section underneath the pit itself can also be used to carry the unit. The fire pit is equipped with a lid which primarily serves as a protection against rain water. In combination with the fire pit, it can also be used as a table if you need to put down certain items or you can use it as a standalone unit to store wood, tools, roasting forks or other items.
